We know that you can't see, smell or touch the products we offer at SpotModel. That's why, since we started our journey 20 years ago, we have tried to bring the products as close to you as possible. To do so, we provide detailed descriptions and pictures of the material contained in the boxes, as well as all possible information about drivers, races, years, sponsorship...
But our enthusiasm and efforts are not always enough, and here we bring you a very clear case that we want to talk about: two references from Model Factory Hiro released in 2014, reedited in 2020, reedited again in 2023, and again this year in limited units. It's a reproduction of the Ferrari 312 T4 in 1/20 scale at a truly unbeatable price, due to the fact that many of its parts are hybrid injection. That is, in the box you will find the classic white metal parts, turned metal parts, photo-etched parts, etc... and plastic parts produced with non-metallic molds. You have to see it to believe it... they are amazing!!!!
These two references are two true "pearls" in the world of civil scale modeling, since never has a brand given so much for so little. Pinky swear from SpotModel, these are two super products.

"SpotModel to Star Command, go ahead, Star Command". "Star Command, go ahead, can you read me? Why aren't you answering...?". What is happening? What's going on with SpotModel? Why does it work but then it doesn't, it works again but the next second it stops working one more time?
Earlier this week there was a major technical failure at one of the country's main telecommunications providers, and it has meant a crazy day for us, with hardly any work to do, no emails to receive, no orders to ship, no new products to activate. A chaotic day that we were able to overcome with great doses of patience and, all must be said, spending a longer time than usual building models at home at night to get through it.
And while the technology came back to life again, the SpotModel universe has continued to grow with some interesting things such as the announcement of the 1/12 scale Lotus Ford 77 by MFH, a lot of detail-up parts by USCP for the Tamiya Alpine, the colour tones for the Porsche 992 GT3 RS by Number Five, the reprint of the M23 decal and the new screws by Decalcas, the arrival of the Tucker 48 by Red Wheel or the reeditions of several photo-etched parts by Studio27.
It seems that all the buttons, circuits, servers and electronic gadgets in the SpotModel universe are now working correctly, so... let's continue building models to infinity and beyond!!

Espace F1
We are very pleased to announce Crest Factor, a new French manufacturer that is making a strong impact with a 1/24 scale model of the Renault Espace F1 prototype minivan, a street car equipped with a V10 engine from Formula 1. Can you imagine going to the supermarket with something like this? 
The Crest Factor model recreates the Renault prototype in exquisite detail, with a multitude of resin parts, an extensive set of photo-etched parts, rubber tyres, pre-cut acetate windows with painted frames, and even a set of decals printed by Cartograf that includes carbon patterns for the body panels and the spoiler. Who can resist?
Of course, this scale model will be produced in very limited batches, of 15 units each. The first batch will arrive in the next few weeks, and it will take a few months until the next batch is manufactured and delivered. What do we mean by this? Well, if you want an Espace F1, and you want it before Christmas, you must place your order urgently.

Downpour
The entire SpotModel team would like to thank all of you who have been concerned about the complicated situation that the torrential rains have caused in our country these past few days.
Luckily, our SpotModel facilities are quite far from the worst affected areas, but the storms have devastated several regions of Spain. Near us, just about 40 kilometres away, there has also been destruction and flooding, but at least there are no human losses to be regretted in this area. These are difficult days that we must all overcome with effort and cooperation.
Logistics services have not been affected in international transit, and although there are problems with national shipments in some very specific areas, we can say that we are developing our usual activity without inconvenience.
From SpotModel we want to send a big hug and much encouragement to those affected, as well as thank you all for supporting us and remembering us at this time.

Utopia
It is associated with fantasy, illusion, dream, invention, fable, idealization, imagination, fiction, hallucination, ideal, longing. It is defined as a "Plan, project, doctrine or ideal system that seems very difficult to achieve". Horacio Pagani, the master Argentine designer located in Italy, has managed to make Utopia a reality, and her name is Pagani Utopia Coupe. A super sports car with a longitudinally mounted mid-rear V12 engine with 864 hp, 1100Nm of torque, and rear-wheel drive. Totally fabulous.

Let's go to Burgos!
This weekend we will be in Burgos, the beautiful Spanish city located in the northern part of the country, where we will enjoy a new edition of the "Tierras del Cid" Scale Modeling contest; on this occasion it will be held in the old train station that, without a doubt, will be full of models and good friends of SpotModel.
During the event we will be happy to chat with everyone, answer questions and discuss all the new products that will be arriving soon, such as the new Solido models in 1/18 scale, the latest Decalcas hexagonal screw references, all the Hasegawa reeditions that will reach us by sea (be patient, it will take them a few weeks to reach Europe), the Studio27 reeditions of several photo-etched parts or the Alfa Romeos in 1/12 scale by MFH, to name just a few.

Is it Christmas already?
Noooooooo, it's not Christmas yet, but it's almost there, really really close. Yet here it feels like it's Christmas already... why? Maybe because the new Tamiya Porsche 992 GT3 RS scale model that we all want for Christmas has just arrived at SpotModel's warehouses? Ummmmmmmm.... Yep, that's probably it.
Our eyes lit up when we saw boxes, hundres of boxes and then a few more come through the door with this coveted beauty... we think we even heard heavenly himns too XD. The other Porsche that we are all waiting for is the 991 GT3 RSR, but it must have run out of gas in its powerful boxer engine because delivery has been delayed until later this month or early January. 
And since we know that courier companies and even the postal service are overwhelmed this month, we have also enabled 24-hour delivery via UPS courier for EU countries, so that all of you who have been nice this year can get your Christmas presents on time.
It's definitely Christmas at SpotModel, of course it is.

CubiJig
We have received a communication from Decalcas that has left us absolutely perplexed and totally intrigued: they have developed a tool based on an advanced and modular system (which is also expandable), specially designed for civil vehicle scale modelers to use it throughout the assembly process of our scale models.
Haven't we ever wished we had three or four arms? Fifteen or more fingers so we could hold on here to glue there while this other piece is holding but can't touch this other one because it's still drying...? Decalcas assures us that they have the solution and they tell us that in the next few days they will send us the images, prices and all the information about both Car CubiJig and Bike CubiJig systems.
It sounds soooo good that here at SpotModel we are already making room for it on our assembly tables. Are you too?

Xmas 2024
In a few days we will celebrate Christmas: days for enjoying family and friends, for spending time at home and, of course, for building scale models!!!
These days we've been receiving some very tasty and interesting "Christmas treats"... Among them, the boss has asked Santa for a 1/12 scale Lancia Stratos by Italeri. Luckily, it's very close, just a few meters away, but all those who are a few thousand kilometers from the SpotModel warehouse remember that logistics companies are at full capacity at this time of year, so your gifts may take a few days longer than initially estimated.
The good news is that the SpotModel team doesn't take a rest, we are open for you every day of the year. Well, to be precise, this year we have been closed for twenty-seven seconds and three-tenths due to a "tyre change" on the web server, quite a record.

Goodbye 2024
There are only a few days left to say goodbye to this year, and with uncertainty, curiosity and mostly excitement, we stand on our tiptoes and look to the horizon to try to see what the coming year will bring, and above all, what scale modeling surprises it will bring us.
This year we have enjoyed a lot of new products, some of them really coveted and interesting, while we have also celebrated 20 years as a scale modeling shop, which is not a small thing to say
And what can we tell you about 2025? Well, besides the CubiJig for 1/24 scale cars and 1/12 scale motorcycles that you can already reserve, various models by Norev and Solido, the Laverda 1000cc V6 by Brach Model, the interesting book about the Bugatti Type 35b by Komakai or the imminent reedition of the Audi Quattro by Tamiya, we can tell you that something called "ModelMotor" is being finalised... we will give you more details soon.
At SpotModel we are going to give the final touches to 2024, and soon it will be time to start sanding and filing 2025...

Almost without realizing it, we have changed our number pad from 24 to 25, and we have already done a few laps behind the wheel of our favorite racing machine. What do we expect for the 2025 season? Interesting question.
In these first laps, the undisputed leader has been the Porsche 992 GT3 RS by Tamiya, which we certainly think will be the star scale model of this season. Like us, many manufacturers think exactly the same and they are releasing countless references for this sweet treat. Scale Lab is finalising the set of photo-etched parts, SK Decals already has the carbon fiber patterns and two spectacular decorations, Decalcas will soon start to supply two rims models and LB Production stands out with nine decal references with the car logos in as many colours.
Catching the Tamiya model slipstream we have seen the CubiJig from Decalcas, which have made an incredible start. In the previous curve we have overtook two new references from Profil, some things from Reji and the last model from Tameo recently arrived at SpotModel. A little further ahead we can already sense the Nuremberg Toy Fair where Italeri and Revell should tell us some little secrets.
And what do we expect from SpotModel around the next corner? The ModelMotor 2025!!! But we'll talk about this next week.

We have been attending scale modeling contests and meetings all over Europe for many, many years, because we love seeing other modellers' models, because we meet very interesting people, because we share the hobby and because we build brutally good scale models that sweep in every competitions... XD
It is equally true that we have been thinking for quite some time about creating a nice event in Spain, just for civilian vehicle modelers, and, well, the time has come to take the step. So Spanish modelers, get ready because the first edition of ModelMotor is coming!!!!
It will be a closed-door meeting, meaning there won't be an audience, and you can bring whatever you want: assembled, unassembled, half-assembled models, to sell, to exchange, to give away, whatever you want as long as it's exclusively cars, motorcycles and trucks. You can also bring your mother-in-law, on the condition that she brings her own models...
There are no prizes, no talks and above all, it is not a contest: it is just a meeting of civil modelling enthusiasts to generate synergies, exchange knowledge and enjoy the hobby we love. Each participant will have a one-metre space on the table to place whatever they want and however they want: with or without a base, with or without a display case... In addition, no one will judge anything, no one will manipulate anything, and no one will touch your models: only you touch your things.
When are we going to hold it? Next March 29th in a hotel in Madrid. Do you like the idea?

The guys at Decalcas have left us open-mouthed again, and twice over. Do you want to know more about the risk of suffering a planetary-sized scale modeling shock? Well, keep reading.
First of all, they have confirmed to us that they are going to give each and every one of the attendees at ModelMotor 2025 a pack with carbon, kevlar and texture decals, valued at a good amount of euros each pack. What??!!! Amazing.
The second thing is that if they already surprised us with some very tasty products for the Porsche 991 GT3 RSR by NuNu, specifically with the DCL-PAR095 brake caliper and disc upgrade kit and the DCL-PAR094 rims and tires set, they are back with nothing less than an upgrade kit to replace the diffuser and the exhaust system, reproducing every single atom of the original. The diffuser, no matter how you look at it, includes every tiny detail like the one used in Le Mans. And the exhausts? They have the chassis attachments and... even the texture of the heat shield!!! You know what this means, right? Well, no more putting your hand in ashtrays looking for wrapping paper from cigarette boxes... XD
Yes, we have put that smile on our faces, the one that only excellent quality pieces can bring out in us modellers.
But wait, as we have been told in exclusive to SpotModel, they are already preparing a new set to improve... the interior? ...and also another for the exterior? ...are they going to redesign the entire model? This is really crazy good! XD
